Uploading A Virtual Submission

Please see below submission guidelines for all Woodwind, Brass, String, Band, and Percussion Classes submitting Virtual Registrations.

How to film your video submission

Your video can be recorded on any device (cell phone, tablet, etc.) and in any space (practice room, anywhere in your home, etc.) that you have available to you. You are not required to rent special recording equipment or a recording space.

If you are performing more than one piece, you may record each piece separately or record a single continuous take.

What is an unlisted video?

An unlisted video is a type of private video. Unlisted means that only people who have the link to the
video can view it. An unlisted video will not appear in any of YouTube's public spaces, like your channel, search results, or the homepage. You can choose to adjust the privacy settings of your videos at any
time.

How to create an unlisted video

1. Create and sign in to your YouTube account
2. Click on the 'Upload' (looks like a large arrow) button at the top right of the page.
3. Once selecting the upload button, you can browse your computer for the correct video file and select 'Upload'.
4. The privacy settings can be found within the drop-down menu located below the upload button. From here, you can select 'Unlisted'.

How to submit your video to the Kiwanis Music Festival

To share your video submission, copy the unlisted video URL (the link), log into your Kiwanis Music Festival account and select the 'registrations tab'. Find the registration for which you would like to upload a video, and select the 'view' button on the right-hand side. Here you will see information about the piece(s) you are performing. Paste the URL into the YouTube Video URL box. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page and hit save.
