Annie Corrigan has built a dynamic career in music, arts administration, and audio production. As an oboist, she has performed several solo works with orchestra, including the Concerto for Oboe by Richard Strauss, Canzonetta by Samuel Barber, and, most recently in her role as the Principal Oboe of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, the Concerto for Oboe by Ralph Vaughan-Williams. Annie also works at the Memorial University School of Music as an Academic Program Administrator, coordinating the School’s annual audition cycle and supporting outreach programs like Junior Band Week. Prior to moving to Newfoundland in 2016, her professional life centered around radio announcing and audio production at Bloomington, Indiana’s NPR affiliate WFIU. Her duties included interviewing guests from a variety of backgrounds, including percussionist Evelyn Glennie, comedian Tig Notaro, author Michael Pollan, and conductor Leonard Slatkin. Annie is an Adjunct Professor of Oboe at Memorial, and she is working toward completing her Doctorate of Music (Oboe) from Indiana University.
